The Afghan Women Skills Development Center (AWSDC) commendably donated 21 essential medical items from its internal resources to the Nangarhar Regional Hospital to address the urgent needs of earthquake victims in Kunar and Nangarhar. This independent initiative, undertaken as part of AWSDC’s humanitarian responsibility, showcases the organization’s ability to deliver swift and effective aid, highlighting its deep commitment to supporting health and human dignity in crisis situations. During the handover ceremony, Mawlavi Aminullah Sharif, the Public Health Director of Nangarhar, expressed gratitude for AWSDC’s efforts and called for continued collaboration with charitable organizations in the health sector. Dr. Fahimullah Dilawar, the director of Nangarhar Regional Hospital, also thanked AWSDC for the initiative, emphasizing that the donated items, including antibiotics and other critical medications, precisely met the hospital’s immediate needs and significantly enhanced its ability to serve patients.

The Afghan Women Skills Development Center (AWSDC) expresses profound grief over the catastrophic magnitude 6.0 earthquake that struck Kunar and Nangarhar provinces on August 31, 2025, claiming over 1,124 lives and injuring more than 3,500.

Our hearts ache for the families who have lost loved ones, and we offer our deepest condolences and unwavering support to those grappling with the devastation of homes, infrastructure, and livelihoods, especially in severely affected areas like Nurgal and Chawkay districts, where thousands are displaced or trapped under rubble.

We stand in solidarity with the resilient people of Kunar and Nangarhar, praying for the eternal peace of those who have passed and for strength and healing for their communities. The AWSDC is urgently coordinating rapid response efforts to deliver critical aid, with a particular focus on vulnerable women and children who face heightened risks in the aftermath of this disaster.

Despite challenges such as blocked roads, ongoing aftershocks, and limited resources, we are committed to providing immediate relief—shelter, food, medical supplies, and psychosocial support—to ensure the safety and well-being of women and children in these hard-hit regions. Our long-term commitment is to support the recovery and rebuilding of these communities, prioritizing the empowerment and protection of the most vulnerable.

توزیع بسته های موادغذایی در ولایت فاریاب

مرکز رشد استعداد های زنان افغان با شعار تعهد برای تغییر، این بار به کمک هموطنان خویش در ولایت فاریاب شتافت. با رسیدن فصل سرما، بارش برف های شدید و مساعد نبودن راه های مواصلاتی قریه جات کته قلعه و گلیم باف ولسوالی پشتونکوت ولایت فاریاب دسترسی مردمان این قصبات به شهر مشکل می شود. با در نظر داشت این ملحوظ، موسسه AWSDC، به کمک مالی ICAN ۱۴۰ بسته مواد غذایی شامل آرد، روغن، برنج، بوره، چای خشک، دال و نمک را به مستحقین دو قریه یاد شده در ولسوالی پشتون کوت توزیع نمود. در مراسم توزیع این بسته ها نماینده های محترم سکتور های ذیربط، مدیر ولایتی موسسه و کارمندان آن اشتراک داشتند.
