It was a great honor and pleasure for the AWSDC team to had Ms. Aleta Miller (Country Director, UN Women – Afghanistan) and her team at AWSDC shelter, following her surprise visit to AWSDC’s WPC/Shelter on Wednesday, 30th Jan 2019.

Indeed, through this visit, Ms. Miller showed her commitment and dedication to Afghan women by spending her time with girls/women at AWSDC’s shelter.

During this visit, Ms. Aleta was accompanied by UN Women team, and she talked with girls residing in shelter and the staff related to their works such as the cultivation of mushrooms, tailoring course, literacy classes, and other activities and the shelter beneficiaries and staff shared their achievement, concerns, and challenges accordingly.

Girls in shelter welcomed Ms. Aleta with granting her a present on her visit from the shelter.

AWSDC leadership and the team would like to thank Ms. Aleta and her team for their visit to AWSDC’s shelter and cherishing the girls which definitely made the girls motivated and hopeful for their future, it’s highly appreciated.
